New Steps Save Future is a Strategic Cooperation Project (SCH–ERASMUS) that brings together partners from Hungary, Portugal, Türkiye, Sweden, Spain, and Ireland in a shared mission to promote sustainability education and reduce the carbon footprint through innovative teaching and learning practices.

The project applies the STEAM approach — Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics — as an integrated educational framework layered across six key sustainability topics: Water, Waste, Transport, Energy, Eating Habits, and Daily Life. By combining these domains, New Steps Save Future encourages students to explore real-world environmental issues through creativity, experimentation, and critical thinking.

This international initiative supports the professional development of teachers and school leaders, providing them with methodologies and digital tools to implement inquiry-based and interdisciplinary learning in their classrooms. It also empowers secondary school students (ages 13–16) to develop STEM and collaboration skills, fostering awareness and action toward climate change and sustainable living.

Running until December 2025, the project’s outcomes include a comprehensive Web Portal, an interactive Mobile Application, and a final Policy Guide presenting best practices for integrating sustainability and STEAM into educational programs across Europe.
