The Bioactive Compounds research area focuses on identifying and screening compounds to mitigate foodborne pathogens and microbial contaminants in both food and pharmaceutical products, such as cosmetics. By studying naturally occurring bioactive molecules, we aim to discover compounds that can effectively control or eliminate harmful microorganisms, ensuring safety and quality in food products and extending to pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications. Our screening techniques assess the antimicrobial properties of these compounds, targeting foodborne pathogens and contaminants in various products. This research contributes to innovative solutions for enhancing food safety, preventing contamination in cosmetics, and promoting overall public health
